Natsuko Tsujimura
Natsuko Tsujimura is probably the most well-known and widely-read Japanese linguist. Her books, such as An Introduction to Japanese Linguistics have become classics for western students of linguistics and were some of the first works to apply modern, Western linguistics theory to the Japanese language.
